Chief Executive Officer for Obuasi based Ashanti Gold Soccer Club, Emmanuel Frimpong has disclosed his side are ready to participate in the impending CAF competition.
In an Exclusive interview with the host of Fox/Hot FM’s Focal Sports Show, Rockson Adjei Yeboah, the 24 year old said, “we are super ready to represent Ghana in Africa, we’ve got the financial backing.”
The young CEO who doubles as the manager of Champion Divine Clinic revealed the miners are in good shape to lift high the flag of Ghana when given the opportunity to participate in Africa.
The rules governing CAF’s club competitions direct that if for any reason a National League is suspended or cancelled, the mother association of that national league are obliged in submitting their choice of clubs in the same league to participate in the competition.
That gives the GFA the vito to submit the two Ashanti based clubs, Kotoko and Ashanti Gold to represent Ghana in Africa should the current league is cancelled; it means the two teams won tier 1 and tier 2 of the NC special Competition
