Election2020: What the ‘Prophets’ Said on the Night of December 31, 2019 (pt1)

Momus News Desk

For over a decade, Ghana’s Presidential Elections, particularly in the fourth Republic has gone hand in hand with prophecies from the clergy.

It has matured to become a competition among these ‘Men of God’ in the country, such that prophets refer members to previous predictions and declare, “I prophesied first.”

Their prophecies which are also referred by scientists as predictions have raised arguments in some other beliefs why prophets (messengers) from one God will say totally different revelations on same subject matter and same situation.

Although, most of the prophets’ predictions come true, there are most others whose don’t go close realization.

In Ghana we have great ‘Men of God’ as Bishop Duncan Williams, Bishop Charles Agyin Asare, Prophet Owusu Bempah, Prophet Badu Kobi, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, Eagle Prophet, Rev. Obofour, Prophet Obinim, and many more.

Some Prophets and how they saw Elections 2020

One of the popular Ghanaian prophets who are noted for elections predictions is Prophet Nigel Gaisie. At the night of December 31, 2019, he declared the National Democratic Congress (NDC) winners of the 2020 general elections.

The man of God affirmed a 52.1% for the opposition NDC party and charged Ghanaians to intercede for one of Ghana’s former first ladies, whose name he withheld; but described as one whose husband was the longest serving president ever.

Also, founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Church, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has thrown a word of caution to President Akufo-Addo to lay down his tools and take it easy so as to sustain his health.

Prophet Kobi’s 40th prophecy of the night, said that the incumbent NPP would win the 2020 elections.
However,he revealed the party’s celebrations will be short-lived by the demise of the president.

The prophet warned, “President Akufo-Addo, go and rest because of health.

“Otherwise in 2020, one day, the same way I prophesied about President Mills, Ghana will wake up and there will be nobody seated on the seat as President; the person will be no more.
“It happened in NDC’s time; President Mills was not having strength but they were pushing him.”

There was also a prophecy from Founder and Leader of Miracle House International Chapel, Bishop Etrue Kobina Appiah has prophesied that the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) will win the 2020 general elections with a very slight margin.

He predicted, “God revealed to me that the NPP had won the 2020 elections with a very slight margin. However, anytime there is a prophecy, the bible says it will be there for an appointed time and it doesn’t lie. At the end it will speak.”

However, he schooled, “Anytime there is a prophecy, the Prophet who gives the prophecy has only 10% to pray about the prophecy and the party that the prophecy is about has 90% to pray and work towards the prophecy for it to come to pass.”

The Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah prophesied an overwhelming victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 elections.

According to him, although it was confirmed in the spirit world the victory of the NPP, the party must put in extraordinary efforts to affirm the revelation.

The controversial prophet warned anyone who would stand the chance to be chosen as the running mate for the NDC presidential candidate to be prayerfully strong. He said the person could lose his/her life after the general elections if care is not taken.

The question most people keep asking on various social media platforms has been, ‘whose prophecy should be taken seriously? Are their prophecies not inspired by the same God and why are they giving different predictions over the same event? Ah well! Let’s see
